Maeli grape harvest by night
On Saturday September 14th you are invited to join us at Maeli’s winery in Baone to experience something different... a nocturnal grape harvest!
We will in fact be meeting in the vineyard next to the winery at 20:00 so we can harvest the grapes together! Once we’ve put on our gloves and protective glasses and armed ourselves with a pair of grape shears, we will be taught the art of grape picking by Maeli’s personnel.
Afterwards the event moves on to the winery where we will be able to take part in the grape crushing and must fermentation stages under the tutelage of Maeli’s winery enologist Riccardo who will explain the processes that the grapes undergo from the vineyard to the winery.
Here we will also serve the first toast of the evening, a glass of Yellow Muscat paired with ‘La Pignara’ flat bread and raisins by our friend Sandro Zancanella.
Elisa Dilavanzo will then lead us in a tasting of three different wines paired with small bites following the theme of the grape harvest.
More information will be available on this page over the coming days so keep following us!
